The basis of JGL growth and development have always been, and continue to be, its employees - their knowledge, skills and values, teamwork, excellence and closeness.
Of almost 530 employees, 63% have a university degree and their
average age is 38, what creates a highly dynamic, modern and
entrepreneurial company environment. Our objective is continuous
development of the management and leadership skills on all company
levels, and providing everyone with the opportunity for personal
growth, with the goal of preserving a motivating teamwork
environment.
Our fundamental activities are R&D, registration,
production, marketing and sales of generic prescription drugs,
non-prescription drugs, drugs based on natural substances, dietary
products, medical products and dermatological cosmetics.
JGL's wide range of products in a number of pharmaceutical forms
is primarily a result of company development, as well as of
partnerships with other pharmaceutical companies such as
Bristol-Myers Squibb, Krka, Christian Hansen and Zetta
Pharmaceutici.
Today the JGL portfolio encompasses more than 300 products and in addition
to its domestic market, it operates on the various markets in SEE,
CIS (The Commonwealth of Independent States) and on the Far East,
while negotiations regarding markets in Brazil and Great Britain are
currently under way.
We are focused on the development of generic drugs with an added
value in what we consider to be key therapeutic areas (drugs
affecting the cardiovascular system, drugs affecting the blood and
hematopoietic organs, drugs affecting the digestive system and the
exchange of substances, as well as drugs affecting senses), which
are marketed under brand names. The wide range of our generic
drugs, in a number of pharmaceutical forms and doses, allows
doctors to choose the best drug for their patients.
The present market positions were acquired through systematic
investments into employee knowledge and development, into the
development and launch of new products, and by investments into
modern technology and new markets. The average growth rate over the
past 20 years was 23%, placing JGL among the fastest growing and
most stable Croatian companies.

Investments into production capacities are continuous, with the
objective of maintaining and enhancing the accomplished high
production standards. We manufacture solid oral forms - capsules
and tablets; semi-solid forms - ointments, creams and gels;
solutions - syrups, herbal drops, dermatological solutions and tea.
We specialize in the production of sterile solutions (eye drops,
sprays and nose drops).
We implement modern quality management principles in all production
processes. Our primary standard is GMP (Good Manufacturing
Practise), in addition to other standards, such as the ISO 9001
(Quality management systems), the ISO 13485 (Medical devices -
quality management systems) and the ISO 22000 (Food safety
management systems) certificate, based on the core HACCP
principles. Today the company is certified in accordance with the
EC GMP and the ISO (International Organization for Standardization)
standards, while the procedure for obtaining the Canadian GMP is
under way."
Always aware and determined that quality is imperative, in
addition to constant improvements of the production process, new
and innovative technological solutions are sought out, while
professional, honest and personalized services are offered on the
market and to our customers. We want doctors to have the option of
choosing the best solution to treat their patients, from the
selection of our brand-name generic drugs, for consumers to
recognize the value of our non-prescription drugs, products from
the Aqua Maris product range and other products, and for our
partners to see us as a stable and flexible partner, recognizing
their specific needs and offering customised solutions.
Today JGL proudly ranks third within the national pharmaceutical
industry, with revenue amounting to around HRK 700 million in 2011.
In company ratings within the Croatian economy, JGL has been among
the 200 most successful companies in Croatia. In 2009, we won a
medal for ranking 105th, based on created value, which is a shift
up of nine places in comparison to the previous year. Export
results were also ranked high, where JGL holds the 44th place.
Close relations with customers, along with the globalisation of
