Responsibility in the workplace
We are developing a stimulating and cooperative environment directed towards success, by assuming responsibility, and through independence of all employees, in accordance with the human resources strategy.
Abiding by corporate provisions
There are several umbrella ordinances all employees are familiar
with, and according to which our work is organised (Labour
Ordinance, Occupational Health Ordinance and Fire Protection
Ordinance), which ensure safety and protection of rights and
obligations of all employees. Besides them, our Quality Ordinance
which is used to make everyone aware of quality provision in all
business processes, and especially those related to product
realization, is also crucial to us.
The Business Organization Ordinance is also an important
document to which descriptions of every workplace relate, for
better understanding of individual key responsibilities and tasks.
It is important to note that, besides the results and
accomplishments, we pay attention to the manner in which results
were achieved while assessing the employee's performance, specially
his/her key competences, one of which is living in accordance with
corporate values.
Health and safety
Vehicle safety
Employee safety was rated high on the list of priorities since
the very establishment of JGL. That is also visible in our car
fleet policy, i.e. vehicle safety. Vehicles are three years old on
average, they all undergo the NCAP safety tests, with regular
service and tire replacements, and all cars used by the employees
working in the field have a "handsfree" device installed.
Injuries and illnesses
The objective of JGL is continuous improvement of occupational
health and safety in terms of ensuring safe working conditions,
decrease of work related injuries, professional illnesses and work
related illnesses, and creating such a working environment in which
an employee feels comfortable, safe and satisfied. JGL has defined
the implementation of occupational health and safety measures in
detail.
In addition to the legally prescribed measures, JGL also keeps
up with the technical and technological development. Through the
procurement of new sophisticated machines and devices, as well as
monitoring and improving technological procedures, the possibility
of work related injuries and illnesses, and professional illnesses,
is significantly reduced.
By taking care of employee safety and health, as well as that of
other persons staying on company premises, we have shown readiness
to meet the demands of the OHSAS 18001 certificate, confirming that
the risks of occupational health and safety have been reduced to a
minimum.
