The first Sustainable Development Report by the Jadran Galenic Laboratory covers economic, environmental and social impacts of the company. It is in compliance with the latest Guidelines for reporting on sustainability of the Global Initiative for reporting (www.globalreporting.org ). This type of reporting is also the most relevant global framework for reporting on sustainable development.

 

The Sustainable Development Report covers a two-year period (2006/2007) and applies to several locations: the Pulac and Svilno production facilities, as well as JGL branch offices in Croatia and abroad.

           

It is aimed at all stakeholders. Since this was our first report, we decided to publish reliable and relevant data in a simple and transparent way. This included accounts of our strategy, mission, vision, process orientation, production programme structure, and market presence.

 

We are also pleased with the trends towards reduced water and specific energy consumption with regard to the value of the realised production, about which we have reported. This is the result of investment in production plants and the accompanying infrastructure, and timely interventions at locations where necessary.

 

For us, this report represents a starting point for more accurately collecting, registering and processing JGL's data in compliance with GRI guidelines, which have become our main reference. This report will help us focus more precisely on achieving our goals, some of which were mentioned in the report.
