Probiotics

According to the definition provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO), probiotics are living microorganisms that, when used in adequate amounts, are beneficial to health. The first research on probiotics was carried out by Metchnikoff in 1905; he introduced the Lactobacillus bulgaricus culture in the production of fermented milk. Interest for probiotics has seen massive growth recently and a great deal of research has been carried out on their effect on the digestive system and urogenital health in women. Probiotics are currently being tested for other possible positive effects on human and animal health.

Normia

Probiotic for the protection of intestinal microflora.

Stressful life, improper nutrition, using drugs, especially antibiotics, as well as numerous other factors, have negatively affect the composition of intestinal microflora. Unbalanced intestinal microflora is the basis for the development of many diseases.

Normia protects and renews intestinal microflora of adults, children and pregnant women. By helping to maintain the balance of intestinal microflora, Normia reduces the unwanted side-effects of antibiotic treatment, like nausea, flatulence or diarrhoea. Considering that the digestion system plays a significant role in the immune (defence) system of the entire organism, Normia is recommended for persons who are prone to atopic dermatitis as well.

Normia consist of two most tested probiotic types, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG® and Bifidobacterium BB12® which are of strong synergistic effect and which have been scientifically proven as efficient and safe.

Lactogyn

The first oral probiotic available for the protection of healthy vaginal flora.

A burning and itching sensation in the intimate area and a vaginal discharge are problems that most women are, unfortunately, familiar with. They are often connected to an imbalance of the vaginal microflora, a natural protection against colonisation by harmful bacteria and yeast.

Lactogyn restores the balance of vaginal flora, thereby naturally assisting to restore and maintain urogenital health. By nurturing healthy habits and using Lactogyn probiotics, women can take control of their intimate health.

Lactogyn capsules contain two patented and clinically proven probiotic cultures, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1 and Lactobacillus reuteri RC-14, which have both been clinically proven to positively affect the urogenital health of women.

These probiotics, unique in the world, are the result of 20 years of research by Canadian researchers, Dr. Andrew W. Bruce and Dr. Gregor Reid.
