The end of the summer at the Trsat Castle in Rijeka was marked with the “Baltazar na Gradini” (Baltazar on Gradina) event for children, where they could explore the fun side of science.
In cooperation with the University of Rijeka, a number of scientists, students and professors had the opportunity to present their work. There were also many booths, which held interactive workshops where children could learn first-hand about maths, physics, pharmacy and chemistry, or develop an interest in more technical activities, such as woodwork.
For the fifth year in a row, numerous visitors that attended the event had the opportunity to visit the small JGL laboratory, where our R&D, Production and Quality employees demonstrated the company’s production process for facial creams and spray fillers in a creative way, revealed the secrets for a successful creation of tablets, and tested the quality of raw materials. Many of their young visitors helped out and had some fun.
The “Baltazar na Gradini” project was inspired by the connection between the legendary animated character Baltazar and the city of Rijeka, which is that the creators of the animated series used Rijeka as a blueprint for the Baltazar town.
