On the occasion of one millionth manufacturing jubilee of Aqua Maris, an initiative was launched in May 2014 with the aim of renewing the sea with eco-friendly mud balls based on Japan’s EM Technology, which dissolve marine sludge and other sources of unpleasant smell through fermentation, thus renewing the quality of the seabed. Effective microorganisms have the ability to use natural biochemical processes in order to turn harmful substances into healthy and useful ones, like nature has been doing for millions of years.
This original ecological initiative included students from primary schools, the Maritime school Bakar, and numerous citizens of Rijeka who participated in solving the problem of improving the quality of the sea.
