The JGL Group had over a thousand reasons to celebrate the arrival of 2020. The Group, made up of employees working in the core pharmaceutical business and our colleagues at Pablo and Adrialab, welcomed the new business year with over a thousand employees!
With 1,002 employees as of 31 December 2019, we’ve achieved an employment growth rate of 4% when compared to the same date of the previous year. When compared to the 2017/2018 period (a modest increase of 0.5%), the figures suggest that the trend of rapid growth in business performance translates into new jobs.
Unlike our company, Croatia’s labour market has experienced stagnation and slowed employment growth in 2019, which is the result of a general slowdown in European economic growth, analyses show.
“We are experiencing a positive trend in the labour market, with our key markets, Croatia and Russia, marking the strongest increase in the number of employees. If the current trend of revenue growth continues in our markets, our staffing needs will continue to grow as well. We are currently laying down the strategic prerequisites for hiring new employees, planned for the second half of the year, while being fully aware of all the challenges of finding – and retaining – the qualified workers we need,” says Mislav Vučić, JGL’s CEO. Vučić adds that 2020 will be a year of increased investments in existing JGL employees, as this is one of the key ways to achieve the company’s envisioned business goals – to increase competitiveness and ensure its long-term development on a global level.
