According to the data gathered by an independent consulting company Nicholas Hall, JGL is the world’s third nasal saline producer (including sea-based preparations). JGL found itself on the list thanks to the Aqua Maris brand, a product line based on the Adriatic seawater. Aqua Maris is, according to the said list, the world’s largest brand based on seawater, covering 5.2% of the world market.
Let us remind you that Aqua Maris was launched as a brand in 1999, having only one preparation in the form of a 30 ml nasal spray. Since then we have developed an entire line of products based on the sea and intended for the treatment of ear, throat and nose problems, covering all consumers’ needs, with the help from experts from the field of medicine and pharmacy, but also taking into account the consumers’ findings and comments. As we worked on product development, we also focused on the development of the brand strategy, and we have successfully redesigned the brand in the last two years, setting up foundations for its future growth and placing on international markets.
Aqua Maris is one the most successful Croatian export products – 98% of the brand’s sales is exported to 30 countries around the world, and its success has been proven by its leading position in the natural nasal preparations segment in Russia, the entire Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) area (former Soviet Republic countries) and SEE.
