Lactogyn media presentation

1 min of reading Published: 16.11.2006.

Lactogyn, the world’s first probiotic concept was presented to the media at the Zagreb club “Škola”.

Lactogyn, the first clinically proven oral probiotic intended for the protection of vaginal flora, is a result of a more than 20 years of research by Canadian scientists, Gregor Reid, Ph.D and Andrew Bruce, Ph.D.
It contains two patented probiotic strains (the so-called good bacteria), Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1 and Lactobacillus reuteri RC-14, which help the regeneration of vaginal microflora and thus protect a woman from infections in a natural way.

The fast pace of life, stress, impaired immune system and frequent change of partners affect the balance of vaginal microflora. It is common for many women to have problems in their intimate area after taking antibiotics.

“A person lives in a symbiosis with the bacteria and cannot survive without them”, said Professor Vladimir Mrša, Ph.D, Dean of the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology in a short presentation on biotechnology and probiotics.

Goran Vujić, MD, gynaecology and obstetrics specialist, addressed the frequency of urogenital infections and clinical justification regarding the administration of Lactogyn.

“Lactogyn is one of the few auxiliary therapeutic preparations, especially among probiotics, produced on the basis of the latest technology and genuine long-standing scientific approach that has been implemented and proved in clinical medicine”, said Dr. Vujić in his presentation.

The simplicity of administration, tolerance and safety of Lactogyn provide women with the opportunity to take control of their intimate health.
